The applicant must be a college graduate with a Paralegal Certificate and/or at least one year of paralegal/legal assistant experience with a law firm.
Our Paralegal/Legal Assistant will work closely with our team of dedicated attorneys and paralegals assisting with various tasks in the areas of litigation, real estate, corporate law, estate planning and administrative tasks associated with the daily running of our firm, including drafting letters, memoranda, Court pleadings and other documents; electronic Court filings and Bankruptcy filings, participating in client meetings/conference calls with attorneys; communicating with potential clients seeking legal representation, assisting with real estate residential and commercial loan closings, online recordings of real estate and other documents; preparing engagement letters and communicating with clients, communicating with and traveling to courts and registries to file/record documents; performing online research using LexisNexis; helping navigate basic software questions; assisting with articles and client updates for the firm which are sent to clients and published on our web site and attending networking events with other members of the firm.
We are looking for a self-starter with a strong academic background, good written and verbal communication skills, and effective computer and organizational skills.
Access to our office in Needham requires an automobile.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
