We are currently looking to add a Treatment Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant to our growing office.
A Treatment Coordinator's main priority is overseeing all new patients and presenting care.
You focus on working with a patient through every phase of their orthodontics treatment or procedure.
You explain the primary benefits and risks of orthodontic treatment.
Your duties will include presenting care/treatment fees, arranging a payment plan, or researching insurance coverage for the patient.
You are usually the first point of contact for patients who have questions or concerns about their treatment.
The key to your success is effective communication with a smile, and helping the patient overcome any obstacles to saying YES to treatment.
The Treatment Coordinator sets the tone for what a patient's experience, treatment, and care will be like within our office.
It is important for our patients to feel our culture at all times through the exceptional customer service we provide.
You will help create and maintain the face and voice of Charles River Orthodontics through being a treatment coordinator.
An Orthodontic Assistant's priority is excellent patient care.
This job requires an outgoing, energetic personality.
You determine the patient's overall experience in our office.
Your job requires attention to detail and accuracy.
You are executing the treatment plan provided by the doctor.
It is crucial that you listen to the doctor's directions, perform the procedure correctly, and efficiently, and accurately document the patient's chart.

Experience:
The ideal candidate- minimum of two years of sales or assisting experience.
Preferred, but not required.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Good interpersonal skills to develop an effective relationship with patients, parents, doctors, staff members and community.
Letter/email composition skills and excellent grammar skills.
Gentle persuasion skills to guide patients and parents and to instill confidence with regards to the orthodontist(s) abilities and results of treatment.
Exceptional ability to work independently and in a team environment Organized, systematic with impeccable follow through Knowledgeable with dental insurance Positive attitude that exudes confidence and enthusiasm Ability to think quickly on their feet RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
New Patient Process Greet new patients and orient them to the practice.
Organize x-rays and sibling records prior to new patient visits.
Review patient forms during new patient visits and document pre-examination information.
Guide patients through financial arrangements and prepare appropriate agreements.
Follow-up with patients in Pending status and unscheduled pre-treatment (Observation) patients.
Upload and organize all incoming and prepare outgoing x-rays and models/scans (STL files) Confirm receipt of all necessary forms for patients starting into treatment.
Maintain consultation and exam rooms.
Patients of Record Handle records and forms for patients transferring into, as well as out of the practice.
Participate in consultations regarding patient compliance.
Handle staff portion of pre-treatment recall examinations.
Follow-up on all missed and unscheduled recall appointments.
Monitor patients in treatment over estimated time.
Coordinate interdisciplinary treatment consultations.
Manage hygiene recare program.
Send or monitor systems for monthly birthday cards to patients.
Manage correspondence related to treatment.
Marketing and Practice Promotion Conduct exit interviews with patients and parents completing treatment.
Arrange appointments with other specialists.
Assist in coordinating practice-building programs with patients, parents, referring and non-referring offices, and within the community.
Participate in staff meetings.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the OM/orthodontist.
Orthodontic Assisting Cleaning and preparation of units/chairs before each patient.
Greet and seat patients, never leaving a seated patient unattended.
Anticipate and assist the orthodontist's needs at all times.
Charting of patient procedures to include charges (if applicable), procedure and length of time for next visit.
Dismissal of patient and explanation of procedure to parent with review of progress.
Radiographs to include:
panoramic, cephalometric Placement and removal of separator Utilizing intraoral scanner Checking all patient appliances prior to adjustment or wire changes Intraoral and extraoral photographs Changing archwires or elastic ties Processing of all x-rays Deliver retainers and other removable appliances Adjustment of removable appliances Banding and bonding procedures Debanding/debonding procedures Give patient instruction for cooperation and motivation Re-cementing loose bands/rebonding of loose brackets Documentation of all communication and procedures in patient chart Fabrication or fitting of appliances Cleaning and replenishing of x-ray equipment Preparing bracket setups Perform other tasks as assigned by the orthodontist(s) SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Good interpersonal skills to develop an effective relationship with patients, parents, doctors, and team members.
Typing skills for entries into patient charts.
Effective verbal skills to communicate with and educate patients and parents to treatment.
