Established nearly 20 years ago, our client is focused on revolutionizing waste management solutions. Their state-of-the-art technology contributes to sustainable solutions that positively impact the environment. The company is in a growth mode and rolling out a new technology this month. The Cost Accountant position will play a key role in the growth and expansion of the finance and accounting department. The Cost Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain product cost metrics such as Standard Costs and Actual Costs, ensuring manufacturing cost margins are met. Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard and actual costs. Manage inventory cost by reconciling cycle counts and period-end balances, adjusting inventory reserve balances as necessary. Assist in month-end closing by preparing necessary journal entries and analyzing inventory evaluations. Assist with company-wide budgeting reports and participate in the budgeting process. Develop systems and procedures for cost accounting functions, recommend cost-effective solutions, and manage the Monthly Close process. Cost Accountant
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3
years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a Manufacturing Operation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems like Oracle NetSuite. Thorough understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures.
