Our client provides a complete suite of software and service solutions to help property insurance carriers price their policies correctly, settle their contents claims quickly and accurately.
Job Description:
The Database Engineer will play a critical role in enabling the delivery of business-critical information systems, data warehousing, predictive modeling, OLAP reports and data for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate directly with business owners to define data requirements, reporting requirements, data analysis requests and technical specifications
Identify, construct and execute complex ETL tasks to construct business-critical data marts and integration databases
Author and modify complex SQL/T-SQL queries/stored procedures
Model, develop and deploy OLTP and OLAP data models for business-critical applications and advanced analytics platform
Build, design and deploy web-based front-end reports and data analysis using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services
Assist with ongoing OLTP database design, development and operational support
Assist with ongoing OLAP data warehouse system design, development and operational support
Reviews, evaluates and recommends current and future data needs
Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to refine and prioritize new requirements.
Job Requirements:
3-5 years of experience designing and deploying OLTP/OLAP databases
Strong analytical background focusing on data mining, reporting writing, data visualization and analysis
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 and/or MySQL 5.x
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 BI and/or Pentaho BI or other open source data management platforms
Experience writing complex SQL/T-SQL queries
C#/ASP.NET experience a plus
Experience developing and deploying reports for multiple business customers for internal and external consumption
Strong background in high-volume database-driven applications, data model specification and evolution
Entrepreneurial spirit and strong drive to innovate any aspect of the company.
Experience with Agile methodologies/Scrum
BS in Computer Science or related field required.
MS in Computer Science or related field desired.
