Our client provides a complete suite of software and service solutions to help property insurance carriers price their policies correctly, settle their contents claims quickly and accurately.
Job Description:
The UI Developer role is responsible for leading and implementing user experience and interface across our enterprise and consumer-facing software products. The role will collaborate heavily with Product Management and customer-facing groups to improve current products, create innovative UI approaches and continue to enhance presentation tier technologies, frameworks and patterns. They are changing the rules about how great software in our market should look, feel and perform and we're seeking an individual who's passionate about executing on that vision.
What You'll Do:
Create and improve UIs for components to be leveraged in multiple products
Collaborate on UI design for maximum ease of use and efficiency - you'll be a master at simplifying UIs to make our users' lives easier and more productive
Write efficient Javascript, HTML and CSS to scale up with load and across browsers
Extend our Javascript frameworks and research and implement new frameworks to enhance our core capabilities and front-end architecture
Rapidly prototype new designs internally, with Product Management and customers to create UIs that exceed customers' expectations through thoughtful design and ease of use
Skills and Requirements:

years developing user interfaces for web-based software platforms
Experience with HTML 5 APIs; in particular, Web Storage
Experience with JS frameworks such as jQuery and Ext JS
Familiarity with MV frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone and Ember
Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, and Qunit
Experience with CSS preprocessors such as LESS and Sass
Ability to produce rapid prototypes, either with code or using tools such as Omnigraffle, Visio, or similar
Demonstrated experience utilizing client-side frameworks to manage large datasets in easy-to-use UIs
Solid understanding of XML, DOM, XSLT and other W3C standards
Familiarity with principles of UI design, cross-browser optimization/enhancement and utilization of REST-based APIs to create dynamic and responsive UI
Strong analytic skills to balance UI requirements against ease of use and technical requirements
Experience developing and delivering in an agile/scrum environment
